Why a Swatch
Access/Snowpass and not a traditional chip card?
The Swatch watch is a functional
alternative to a chip card but more convenient, always with
you, fun to use and cannot be forgotten. It adds new fun
experience to an essentially functional activity.
How does it
work?
The microchip contained in the watch can
store a vast range of data while the antenna is used to
communicate with the terminal to read the contents of the
microchip. A computer program drives the whole system.
How can I load
my watch?
Very easily, just go through the
following three steps: 1.Load! your watch at the cash point
with your desired ticket. Once the ticket has expired, your
Swatch Snowpass can be reloaded. 2.Check! Point your arm at
the reader to check your access authorization. 3.Go! The door
or the turnstile will automatically open and off you go.

What happens
if the battery of my Swatch is low?
Nothing! The access function is totally
independent from the watch battery. So if the battery is low
or dead, your access function will still work perfectly. The
chip in your watch is activated by the reader to which the
watch is pointed at.
What happens
if I lose my watch?
Please contact your ski station or your
provider! For personal security, the chip inside each Swatch
Access watch is unique and protected by its own password.
Nothing can be stored on or deleted from the chip without the
owners permission. As with a credit card, a valid application
can be blocked. In the case of an extended pass or a season
ticket being stored on the watch, the name of the holder is
registered with the respective resort so that a replacement
ticket can be issued without any problem.
How many
different applications can I load on the same watch?
The microchip inside your Swatch Access/Snowpass
can have up to four different applications at the same time.
So you could have a season ski pass, a ticket for a concert, a
city pass and a ticket for public transportation
simultaneously on the same watch. Once one application
expires, the space is automatically free for another
application.
Can I load the
same application on two different watches?
Unfortunately, this is not possible, you
can not load the same season ski pass on two different
watches. As each chip is unique, an application can only be
loaded on one specific chip, i.e. one specific watch
